This area enjoys easy access to the 395 freeway, and short commuting times to downtown, the University of Nevada campus, and the tech hubs in south Reno. Higher education and employment in the North Valleys includes Truckee Meadows Community College, Desert Research Institute, Amazon and Petco.
The Tahoe Regional Industrial Center – home to over 130 companies – is just a 30-minute drive.

Schools in this area are located within Washoe County School District, and include Palmer, Alice Smith, and Desert Heights Elementary. O’Brien is the local middle school; and North Valleys is the High School for this area.
