Mid-Town

Welcome to the Midtown District in Reno, Nevada. Midtown is located just south of the heart of downtown Reno and along the eastern border of the highly desirable old southwest Reno neighborhoods. This section of town experienced a renaissance after small business entrepreneurs and artisans transformed the neighborhood into a cultural experience not found anywhere else in the region and rarely found in the western states.

If you spend any amount of time in Midtown, you’ll discover a concentrated west-coast modern hip combined with a passionate Nevada “can-do” attitude. The mural scene, brought to you by local and visiting artists, is one of the largest collections of public art in the country. Locals of all ages love the wide variety of things to do in Midtown; from hipster used clothing and record stores, to artisan craft cocktail lounges, some of the best eateries in town, and art galleries. Culture and history thrive in this neighborhood, with the Nevada Museum of Art and the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum both within walking distance.

You’ll find many locals catching a craft cocktail at Death & Taxes or grabbing a bite at Midtown Eats before meeting friends at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, or taking the family to visit The Harrah Collection in the National Automobile Museum.

Housing in the Midtown District is a mix of single family residences and condos, most of which are older homes, with some newer construction tactfully built on once vacant lots. Home prices are generally at or slightly above the Reno/Sparks regional median price depending on the exact location and age of the home. This neighborhood enjoys easy access to downtown and the University of Nevada campus, as well as short commuting times to the tech hubs in south Reno and the Tahoe Regional Industrial Center.

Schools serving the Midtown area are located within Washoe County School District and include Mount Rose Elementary. Swope Middle School, Reno High School.

There are so many reasons to love the Midtown District, but what locals love about this neighborhood is that it tailors to all styles of life and is conveniently located to everything one needs.

We invite you to consider Midtown if you’re moving to Reno, Nevada.
